Illinois High School Softball - Lexington bounces Illinois Valley Central

In Tuesday's non-league match, the host Lexington Minutemen softball team scored a nice 13-5 win over the Illinois Valley Central Grey Ghosts.
The Minutemen (11-13) will now prepare for their match against Fieldcrest (Minonk, IL). The Knights come into the Heart of Illinois match with a 0-13 record. In their last match, Fieldcrest was routed by Heyworth (Heyworth, IL), 17-0, in a league match.
In their next game, the Grey Ghosts confront the Tolono Unity Rockets (Tolono, IL) in a Illini Prairie match, on Friday, May 9. Illinois Valley Central will attempt to better on its 15-11 season record. The Rockets come into the match with a 23-4 record after their 5-3 league win over St. Joseph-Ogden (St. Joseph, IL).
