In Tuesday's league match, the visiting Linton-Stockton Miners softball team scored a nice 15-4 win over the Shakamak Lakers.

The Miners (10-6) will now prepare for their match against Barr-Reeve (Montgomery, IN). The Vikings come into the non-league match with a 7-4 record. In their last match, Barr-Reeve was routed by Bedford North Lawrence (Bedford, IN), 9-1, in a non-league match.

In their next game, the Lakers battle the Eastern Greene Thunderbirds (Bloomfield, IN) in a Southwestern Indiana match, on Friday, May 9. Shakamak will attempt to better on its 5-9 season record. The Thunderbirds come into the match with a 5-7 record after their 26-5 league loss to Linton-Stockton (Linton, IN).
