In Wednesday's non-league game, the visiting Dayton Bulldogs baseball team scored a close 8-3 victory over the North Plainfield Canucks.
The Bulldogs (8-13) will now prepare for their game against Union (Union, NJ). The Farmers enter the UCC - Mountain game with a 8-13 record. In their last game, Union held off Dayton (Springfield, NJ), 7-5, in a league game.
Next, the Canucks face the Dunellen Destroyers (Dunellen, NJ) in a non-league game, on Thursday, May 7. North Plainfield will attempt to improve on its 15-7 season record. The Destroyers enter the battle with a 13-3 record after their 11-3 non-league loss to J.P. Stevens (Edison, NJ).
