Arizona High School Softball - Marana knocked off by Pinnacle

May 6, 2026: Phoenix, AZ 85050

The Pinnacle Pioneers overwhelmed the visiting Marana Tigers softball squad by a count of 20-5 in Wednesday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Pioneers meet the Desert Vista Thunder (Phoenix, AZ) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, May 8. Pinnacle will attempt to upgrade on its 20-8 season record. The Thunder go into the challenge with a 28-4 record after their 11-5 non-league win over Mountain View (Mesa, AZ).

The Tigers (28-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Highland (Gilbert, AZ). The Hawks go into the non-league challenge with a 21-9 record. In their last challenge, Highland toppled Desert Ridge (Mesa, AZ), 10-0, in a league challenge.

This game is a part of the 2026 AIA (Arizona) 6A State Softball Championships - Bottom Bracket tournament
