North Mac Panthers (Virden, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Auburn Trojans (Auburn, IL), 10-0 in a league challenge.

The Panthers now own a 4-3 record. They take the field next when they host Tri-City/Sangamon Valley for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 12.

With the loss, Auburn falls to 4-6 on the campaign. The Trojans travel to Sacred Heart-Griffin (Springfield, IL) to battle the Cyclones in a non-league challenge on Monday, May 10. The Cyclones enter the challenge with a record of 11-1. Sacred Heart-Griffin won 12-0 in their recent league challenge against Decatur Eisenhower (Decatur, IL)
