The Champaign Central Maroons baseball team scored 6 runs and limited the visiting Herscher Tigers to 0 in the Maroons non-league victory on Saturday.
The Maroons (21-5) will now prepare for their match against Mattoon (Mattoon, IL). The Green Wave go into the non-league match with a 7-12 record. In their last match, Mattoon was overwhelmed by Mahomet-Seymour (Mahomet, IL), 12-3, in a league match.
The Tigers (9-17) will now prepare for their match against Manteno (Manteno, IL). The Panthers go into the Illinois Central Eight match with a 16-4 record. In their last match, Manteno edged Beecher (Beecher, IL), 7-3, in a non-league match.
