In Saturday's non-league game, the host Homewood-Flossmoor Vikings baseball team scored a tight 5-4 victory over the Lane Tech Lane Tech.
The Vikings (15-8) will now prepare for their match against Glenbrook North (Northbrook, IL). The Spartans go into the non-league match with a 16-7 record. In their last match, Glenbrook North edged Maine West (Des Plaines, IL), 16-7, in a league match.
The Lane Tech (15-10) will now prepare for their match against Von Steuben (Chicago, IL). The Panthers go into the Chicago Public - Jackie Robinson North match with a 18-6 record. In their last match, Von Steuben edged Taft (Chicago, IL), 4-3, in a league match.
