The St. Croix Central Panthers baseball team scored 14 runs and limited the host Hurley Northstars to 4 in the Panthers non-league victory on Saturday.
The Panthers (6-4) will now prepare for their match against Ellsworth (Ellsworth, WI). The Panthers go into the Middle Border challenge with a 2-9 record. In their last challenge, Ellsworth was overwhelmed by Altoona (Altoona, WI), 13-3, in a league challenge.
With the defeat, Hurley falls to 2-1 on the season. The Northstars travel to Luck/Frederic (Luck, WI) to encounter the Cardinals in a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 7. The Cardinals come into the challenge with a record of 2-3. Luck/Frederic lost 9-4 in their recent league challenge against Unity (Balsam Lake, WI)
