Shawnee Mission North Bison (Shawnee Mission, KS) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Bonner Springs Braves (Bonner Springs, KS), 5-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Bison now own a 16-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lawrence for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 10. Shawnee Mission North will face a Lions squad coming off a 6-1 non-league loss to Blue Valley Northwest (Overland Park, KS). The Lions record now stands at 5-11.

With the loss, Bonner Springs falls to 4-8 on the campaign. The Braves host Baldwin (Baldwin, KS) to face the Bulldogs in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 10. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 2-12. Baldwin lost 6-1 in their recent non-league challenge against McLouth (McLouth, KS)
