In Saturday's non-league contest, the Branchville Yellow Jackets (Branchville, SC) softball team overwhelmed the visiting St. John's Islanders (John's Island, SC), by a margin of 15-0.
With the triumph, Branchville moves its record to 15-7 on the year. The Yellow Jackets travel to Carvers Bay (Hemingway, SC) to face the Bears in a non-league match on Monday, May 9. The Bears enter the match with a record of 1-5. Carvers Bay lost 9-3 in their recent non-league match against Lamar (Lamar, SC)
With the loss, St. John's falls to 2-6 on the campaign.
