IC Catholic Prep Knights (Elmhurst, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Glenbard East Rams (Lombard, IL), 14-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Knights now own a 12-8 record. They take the field next when they host Riverside-Brookfield for a Metro Suburban challenge on Monday, May 9. IC Catholic Prep will battle a Bulldogs squad coming off a 9-3 league loss to Bishop McNamara (Kankakee, IL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 9-5.

With the loss, Glenbard East falls to 8-15 on the campaign. The Rams travel to Fenton (Bensenville, IL) to battle the Bison in a Upstate Eight challenge on Monday, May 9. The Bison enter the challenge with a record of 12-11. Fenton won 9-4 in their recent non-league challenge against ITW David Speer Academy (Chicago, IL)
