The Lawrence Free State Firebirds softball team (Lawrence, KS), was routed 17-6 in Saturday's non-league test with the visiting Shawnee Heights Thunderbirds (Tecumseh, KS)

Coming up next, the Thunderbirds clash with the Blue Valley Southwest Timberwolves (Overland Park, KS) in a non-league test, on Monday, May 9. Shawnee Heights will attempt to improve on its 7-3 season record. The Timberwolves come into the test with a 15-2 record after their 11-0 non-league win over Garden City (Garden City, KS).

The Firebirds (8-9) will now prepare for their test against Shawnee Mission East (Shawnee Mission, KS). The Lancers come into the non-league test with a 1-12 record. In their last test, Shawnee Mission East was routed by Lawrence (Lawrence, KS), 11-1, in a non-league test.
