Morris Redskins (Morris, IL) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Seneca Fighting Irish (Seneca, IL), 5-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Redskins now sport a 17-13 record. They take the field next when they travel to Kaneland for a Interstate Eight challenge on Monday, May 9. Morris will face a Knights squad coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Marist (Chicago, IL). The Knights record now stands at 12-6.

With the loss, Seneca falls to 17-6 on the campaign. The Fighting irish travel to Dwight (Dwight, IL) to face the Trojans in a Tri-County challenge on Monday, May 9. The Trojans enter the challenge with a record of 8-8. Dwight won 19-2 in their recent league challenge against Midland (Varna, IL)
