In Tuesday's non-league game, the host DuQuoin Indians baseball team scored a tight 4-0 victory over the Sparta Bulldogs.
The Indians (29-3) will now prepare for their game against Carlyle (Carlyle, IL). The Indians/Lady Indians go into the non-league game with a 8-15 record. In their last game, Carlyle was overwhelmed by Vandalia (Vandalia, IL), 10-7, in a non-league game.
The Bulldogs (13-10) will now prepare for their game against New Athens (New Athens, IL). The Yellow Jackets go into the non-league game with a 10-12 record. In their last game, New Athens tipped Red Bud (Red Bud, IL), 4-0, in a non-league game.
