North Carolina High School Baseball - Pinecrest defeats Green Hope

May 7, 2024: Southern Pines, NC 28387

Pinecrest Patriots (Southern Pines, NC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Green Hope Falcons (Cary, NC), 5-0 in a non-league test.

With the win, Pinecrest upgrades its record to 22-4 on the season. The Patriots travel to Fuquay - Varina (Fuquay-Varina, NC) to battle the Bengals in a non-league test on Friday, May 10. The Bengals come into the test with a record of 14-8. Fuquay - Varina won 3-2 in their recent non-league test against Topsail (Hampstead, NC)

With the defeat, Green Hope falls to 12-13 on the season.

This game is a part of the 2024 NCHSAA Baseball State Championship - 4A tournament
