The Schalmont Sabres (Schenectady, NY) softball routed the visiting Albany Academy for Girls Bears (Albany, NY), 15-1 in Tuesday's league bout.

The Sabres (14-3) will now prepare for their bout against Cohoes (Cohoes, NY). The Tigers go into the Section 2 Colonial bout with a 9-8 record. In their last bout, Cohoes was routed by Catholic Central (Troy, NY), 5-0, in a league bout.

The Bears now possess a 4-11 record. They play next when they travel to Ichabod Crane for a Section 2 Colonial bout on Wednesday, May 8. Albany Academy for Girls will confront a Riders squad coming off a 16-1 league win over Catholic Central (Troy, NY). The Riders record now stands at 17-0.
