Camp Point Central Panthers (Camp Point, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Seymour Indians (Payson, IL), 9-8 in a league challenge.

The Panthers now own a 11-10 record. They take the field next when they travel to Quincy Notre Dame for a West Central challenge on Wednesday, May 8. Camp Point Central will battle a Raiders squad coming off a 10-0 non-league loss to Biggsville West Central (Biggsville, IL). The Raiders record now stands at 15-4.

With the loss, Seymour falls to 13-16 on the campaign. The Indians host Barry Western (Barry, IL) to battle the Wildcats in a West Central challenge on Wednesday, May 8. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 7-9. Barry Western won 5-1 in their recent non-league challenge against North Greene (White Hall, IL)
