St. Clair County Fighting Saints (Odenville, AL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Central of Clay County Volunteers (Lineville, AL), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Fighting Saints now own a 11-22 record. They take the field next when they travel to Southside for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 7. St. Clair County will battle a Panthers squad coming off a 6-1 non-league win over Boaz (Boaz, AL). The Panthers record now stands at 27-10.

With the loss, Central of Clay County falls to 16-16 on the campaign. The Volunteers travel to Scottsboro (Scottsboro, AL) to battle the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 7. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 24-18. Scottsboro won 13-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Guntersville (Guntersville, AL)
