East Forest/West Forest Fires (Tionesta, PA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Union/Allegheny-Clarion Valley (Rimersburg, PA), 8-3 in a league challenge.

The Fires now own a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Brockway for a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 11. East Forest/West Forest will face a Rovers squad coming off a 4-1 non-league loss to Redbank Valley (New Bethlehem, PA). The Rovers record now stands at 4-12.

With the loss, Union/Allegheny-Clarion Valley falls to 6-6 on the campaign. The host Reynolds (Greenville, PA) to face the Raiders in a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 11. The Raiders enter the challenge with a record of 3-7.
