Woodstock Academy Centaurs (Woodstock, CT) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Lyman Memorial Bulldogs (Lebanon, CT), 16-5 in a non-league challenge.

The Centaurs now own a 5-12 record. They take the field next when they travel to East Lyme for a non-league challenge on Friday, May 10. Woodstock Academy will battle a Vikings squad coming off a 11-2 league loss to Norwich Free Academy (Norwich, CT). The Vikings record now stands at 9-6.

With the loss, Lyman Memorial falls to 3-11 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Wheeler (North Stonington, CT) to battle the Lions in a Eastern Connecticut - Small challenge on Thursday, May 9. The Lions enter the challenge with a record of 7-4. Wheeler won 12-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Windham RVT (Willimantic, CT)
