Wheeler Lions (North Stonington, CT) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Windham RVT Mighty Tigers (Willimantic, CT), 12-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Lions now own a 7-4 record. They take the field next when they host Lyman Memorial for a Eastern Connecticut - Small challenge on Thursday, May 9. Wheeler will battle a Bulldogs squad coming off a 16-5 non-league loss to Woodstock Academy (Woodstock, CT). The Bulldogs record now stands at 3-11.

With the loss, Windham RVT falls to 8-7 on the campaign. The Mighty tigers travel to Grasso Tech (Groton, CT) to battle the Eagles in a Connecticut Tech challenge on Wednesday, May 8. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 0-4.
