In Wednesday's non-league contest, the host Albemarle Patriots lacrosse squad scored a tight 1-0 triumph over the Matoaca Warriors.
The Patriots (5-7) will now prepare for their contest against Monticello (Charlottesville, VA). The Mustangs go into the Jefferson contest with a 9-1 record. In their last contest, Monticello held off Charlottesville (Charlottesville, VA), 24-11, in a league contest.
Next, the Warriors meet the Midlothian Trojans (Midlothian, VA) in a non-league contest, on Wednesday, May 14. Matoaca will attempt to better on its 0-9 season record.
