Fans at Wednesday's non-league test between the Apex Cougars (Apex, NC) and the host Wake Forest Cougars (Wake Forest, NC), witnessed Apex's lacrosse squad top Wake Forest by a count of 19-9.

The Cougars (17-2) will now prepare for their test against Wakefield (Raleigh, NC). The Wolverines enter the non-league test with a 12-7 record. In their last test, Wakefield thwarted Heritage (Wake Forest, NC), 14-13, in a league test.

Next, the Cougars battle the Hunt Warriors (Wilson, NC) in a Northern Athletic/Quad County test, on Thursday, May 8. Wake Forest will attempt to move on its 8-5 season record. The Warriors enter the test with a 5-8 record after their 14-3 league win over Rolesville (Rolesville, NC).
