The Lapeer Lightning soccer squad scored 2 points and held the host Powers Catholic Chargers to 1 in the Lightning non-league victory on Wednesday.

The Lightning now hold a 6-6 record. They play next when they host Swartz Creek for a non-league bout on Thursday, May 8. Lapeer will play a Dragons squad coming off a 1-0 league loss to Holly (Holly, MI). The Dragons record now stands at 4-7.

With the loss, Powers Catholic moves to 3-5 on the year. The Chargers travel to Goodrich (Goodrich, MI) to play the Martians in a non-league bout on Thursday, May 8. The Martians go into the bout with a record of 11-2. Goodrich won 3-2 in their recent non-league bout against Kearsley (Flint, MI)
