The Baker Bulldogs softball team scored 8 runs and held the visiting Burns Hilanders to 1 in the Bulldogs non-league win on Wednesday.

The Bulldogs now possess a 7-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Pendleton for a 4A Greater Oregon battle on Friday, May 9. Baker will confront a Buckaroos team coming off a 5-3 non-league win over St. Helens (St. Helens, OR). The Buckaroos record now stands at 15-2.

With the loss, Burns moves to 9-5 on the season. The Hilanders host McLoughlin (Milton-Freewater, OR) to confront the Pioneers in a 3A Special District 2 battle on Friday, May 9. The Pioneers come into the battle with a record of 9-3. McLoughlin won 6-2 in their recent league battle against Enterprise/Joseph (Enterprise, OR)
