The Boonville Pioneers (Boonville, IN) softball nipped the visiting Evansville Reitz Panthers (Evansville, IN), 1-0 in Wednesday's non-league outing.
The Pioneers now sport a 10-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Forest Park for a Pocket outing on Thursday, May 8. Boonville will encounter a Rangers team coming off a 3-2 league loss to Tell City (Tell City, IN). The Rangers record now stands at 4-10.
With the loss, Evansville Reitz moves to 5-10 on the season. The Panthers host Gibson Southern (Fort Branch, IN) to encounter the Titans in a non-league outing on Friday, May 9. The Titans come into the outing with a record of 11-7. Gibson Southern won 10-3 in their recent league outing against South Spencer (Rockport, IN)
