In Wednesday's non-league match, the visiting Colonia Patriots softball team scored a tight 10-4 victory over the Perth Amboy Panthers.
The Patriots (11-7) will now prepare for their match against Franklin (Somerset, NJ). The Warriors go into the non-league match with a 3-10 record. In their last match, Franklin tipped North Plainfield (North Plainfield, NJ), 8-1, in a non-league match.
In their next game, the Panthers battle the Spotswood Chargers (Spotswood, NJ) in a non-league match, on Thursday, May 8. Perth Amboy will attempt to better on its 15-5 season record. The Chargers go into the match with a 10-10 record after their 15-0 non-league win over Manville (Manville, NJ).
