In Wednesday's league match, the host Naugatuck Greyhounds softball team scored a nice 14-2 win over the Derby Red Raiders.

The Greyhounds (8-9) will now prepare for their match against Seymour (Seymour, CT). The Wildcats come into the non-league match with a 10-3 record. In their last match, Seymour was routed by Oxford (Oxford, CT), 7-6, in a non-league match.

In their next game, the Red Raiders confront the Oxford Wolverines (Oxford, CT) in a Naugatuck Valley - Brass match, on Tuesday, May 13. Derby will attempt to better on its 3-9 season record. The Wolverines come into the match with a 10-2 record after their 13-0 league loss to Woodland Regional (Beacon Falls, CT).
