The Hampden Broncos triumphed over the visiting Mount Desert Island Trojans softball squad by a count of 12-2 in Wednesday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Broncos meet the Camden Hills Windjammers (Rockport, ME) in a Class A North challenge, on Monday, May 12. Hampden will attempt to upgrade on its 6-2 season record. The Windjammers enter the challenge with a 4-3 record after their 11-2 non-league win over Oceanside (Rockland, ME).
The Trojans (2-2) will now prepare for their challenge against John Bapst Memorial (Bangor, ME). The Crusaders enter the Class B North challenge with a 4-2 record. In their last challenge, John Bapst Memorial was routed by Ellsworth (Ellsworth, ME), 12-1, in a league challenge.
