The Harvest Christian Academy Lions triumphed over the host Lake Forest Academy Caxys softball squad by a count of 31-17 in Wednesday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Lions meet the Hiawatha Hawks (Kirkland, IL) in a Little Ten challenge, on Thursday, May 8. Harvest Christian Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 9-11 season record. The Hawks enter the challenge with a 2-11 record after their 8-1 league loss to Earlville (Earlville, IL).

The Caxys (0-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Regina Dominican (Wilmette, IL). The Panthers enter the Independent Schools challenge with a 12-4 record. In their last challenge, Regina Dominican was routed by Niles West (Skokie, IL), 16-3, in a non-league challenge.
