Illinois High School Softball - Leyden succumbs to South Elgin

In Wednesday's non-league test, the South Elgin Storm (South Elgin, IL) softball squad overwhelmed the host Leyden Eagles (Franklin Park, IL), by a tally of 12-0.
Next, the Storm clash with the Glenbard East Rams (Lombard, IL) in a Upstate Eight test, on Thursday, May 8. South Elgin will attempt to advance on its 20-4 season record. The Rams go into the test with a 15-3 record after their 10-3 league loss to Riverside-Brookfield (Riverside, IL).
The Eagles (9-11) will now prepare for their test against Willowbrook (Villa Park, IL). The Warriors go into the West Suburban - Gold test with a 12-9 record. In their last test, Willowbrook was routed by York (Elmhurst, IL), 3-1, in a non-league test.
