In Wednesday's non-league match, the host Northern Highlands Highlanders softball team scored a tight 4-1 win over the Paramus Catholic Paladins.
The Highlanders (12-6) will now prepare for their match against Pascack Hills (Montvale, NJ). The Broncos come into the non-league match with a 8-9 record. In their last match, Pascack Hills nipped Fort Lee (Fort Lee, NJ), 8-3, in a non-league match.
In their next game, the Paladins battle the Hanover Park Hornets (East Hanover, NJ) in a non-league match, on Friday, May 9. Paramus Catholic will attempt to better on its 11-4 season record. The Hornets come into the match with a 7-6 record after their 11-1 league loss to Morris Catholic (Denville, NJ).
