The crowd at Wednesday's non-league bout between the PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central Bluejays (Petersburg, IL) and the host Pawnee Indians (Pawnee, IL), observed PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central's softball team get by Pawnee by a tally of 2-1.

The Bluejays (8-10) will now prepare for their bout against Olympia (Stanford, IL). The Spartans go into the Sangamo bout with a 14-7 record. In their last outing, Olympia got by Athens (Athens, IL), 11-2, in a league outing.

With the loss, Pawnee moves to 14-6 on the season. The Indians travel to Springfield (Springfield, IL) to encounter the Senators in a non-league outing on Friday, May 9. The Senators come into the outing with a record of 14-4. Springfield won 2-1 in their recent non-league outing against Sangamon Valley/Tri-City (Niantic, IL)
