The Normal Community Ironmen the visiting Galesburg Silver Streaks baseball team by a tally of 6-2 in Monday's non-league bout.
The Ironmen now hold a 19-8 record. They take the field next when they host Bloomington for a Big Twelve bout on Tuesday, May 9. Normal Community will face a Purple Raiders team coming off a 13-3 non-league loss to Washington (Washington, IL). The Purple Raiders record now stands at 18-9.
Next, the Silver Streaks face the Rock Island Rocks (Rock Island, IL) in a Western Big Six bout, on Thursday, May 11. Galesburg will attempt to advance on its 13-15 season record. The Rocks enter the bout with a 18-8 record after their 12-9 non-league win over Orion (Orion, IL).
