The Normal University Pioneers got by the visiting Pleasant Plains Cardinals baseball team by a count of 10-9 in Monday's non-league bout.
The Pioneers now possess a 15-15 record. They take the field next when they travel to MacArthur for a Central State Eight bout on Tuesday, May 9. Normal University will face a Generals team coming off a 12-0 non-league loss to Taylorville (Taylorville, IL). The Generals record now stands at 2-20.
Next, the Cardinals face the Lincoln Railsplitters (Lincoln, IL) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, May 10. Pleasant Plains will attempt to move on its 18-12 season record. The Railsplitters enter the bout with a 16-10 record after their 14-5 non-league win over Rantoul (Rantoul, IL).
