In Monday's league battle, the visiting Lejeune Devil Pups soccer squad scored a close 1-0 triumph over the Southside Seahawks.
The Devil Pups (10-3) will now prepare for their battle against East Carteret (Beaufort, NC). The Mariners come into the Coastal Plains 1A/2A battle with a 11-5 record. In their last battle, East Carteret nudged Northside - Pinetown (Pinetown, NC), 12-0, in a league battle.
