The Lake Central Indians softball team scored 12 runs and limited the host Lincoln-Way Central Knights to 2 in the Indians non-league triumph on Monday.

With the triumph, Lake Central moves its record to 14-2 on the year. The Indians host Merrillville (Merrillville, IN) to clash with the Pirates in a game on Tuesday, May 9. The Pirates come into the game with a record of 0-2. Merrillville lost 18-0 in their recent non-league game against Hobart (Hobart, IN)

In their next game, the Knights clash with the Bradley-Bourbonnais Boilermakers (Bradley, IL) in a game, on Tuesday, May 9. Lincoln-Way Central will attempt to move on its 2-2 season record. The Boilermakers come into the game with a 15-8 record after their 8-4 league win over Lincoln-Way West (New Lenox, IL).
