The crowd at Monday's non-league challenge between the Homewood-Flossmoor Vikings (Flossmoor, IL) and the host Brother Rice Crusaders (Chicago, IL), saw Homewood-Flossmoor's lacrosse team nudge Brother Rice by a margin of 8-7.

The Vikings (4-13) will now prepare for their challenge against Lemont (Lemont, IL). The Lemont HS enter the South Suburban challenge with a 2-9 record. In their last challenge, Lemont was tipped by Dunlap (Dunlap, IL), 12-4, in a league challenge.

The Crusaders (2-12) will now prepare for their challenge against IC Catholic Prep (Elmhurst, IL). The Knights enter the non-league challenge with a 10-2 record. In their last challenge, IC Catholic Prep edged Riverside-Brookfield (Riverside, IL), 14-3, in a non-league challenge.
