New York High School Softball - Briarcliff gets by Irvington

May 8, 2023: Irvington, NY 10533

Spectators at Monday's non-league match between the Briarcliff Bears (Briarcliff Manor, NY) and the host Irvington Bulldogs (Irvington, NY), witnessed Briarcliff's softball squad tip Irvington by a count of 4-3.

The Bears now sport a 5-10 record. They play next when they host Rye Neck for a Section 1 III - A match on Tuesday, May 9. Briarcliff will meet a Panthers squad coming off a 16-0 league win over Pleasantville (Pleasantville, NY). The Panthers record now stands at 17-0.

With the loss, Irvington moves to 3-8 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Sleepy Hollow (Sleepy Hollow, NY) to meet the Horsemen in a non-league match on Tuesday, May 9.
