Three Rivers Wildcats (Three Rivers, MI) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Kalamazoo Central Maroon Giants (Kalamazoo, MI), 5-4 in a non-league challenge.
The Wildcats now own a 4-4 record. They take the field next when they host Paw Paw for a Wolverine B challenge on Tuesday, May 9. Three Rivers will battle a Red Wolves squad coming off a 2-1 league win over Dowagiac (Dowagiac, MI). The Red Wolves record now stands at 4-3.
With the loss, Kalamazoo Central falls to 1-2 on the campaign. The Maroon giants host Buchanan (Buchanan, MI) to battle the Bucks in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 10. The Bucks enter the challenge with a record of 10-1.
