Lakeland Hornets (Shrub Oak, NY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the host North Salem Tigers (North Salem, NY), 8-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Hornets now own a 12-4 record. They take the field next when they host Yorktown for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 9. Lakeland will battle a Huskers squad coming off a 12-10 league loss to Brewster (Brewster, NY). The Huskers record now stands at 4-10.

With the loss, North Salem falls to 3-15 on the campaign. The Tigers host Valhalla (Valhalla, NY) to battle the Vikings in a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 11. The Vikings enter the challenge with a record of 11-5.
