The crowd at Monday's non-league match between the Loudoun County Captains (Leesburg, VA) and the visiting Stone Bridge Bulldogs (Ashburn, VA), saw Loudoun County's softball squad nip Stone Bridge by a count of 10-7.

The Captains now sport a 9-7 record. They take the field next when they host Loudoun Valley for a Dulles match on Tuesday, May 9. Loudoun County will face a Vikings squad coming off a 16-0 league win over Park View (Sterling, VA). The Vikings record now stands at 11-5.

With the loss, Stone Bridge falls to 8-9 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Briar Woods (Ashburn, VA) to face the Falcons in a Potomac match on Tuesday, May 9. The Falcons enter the match with a record of 16-3. Briar Woods lost 4-0 in their recent league match against Riverside (Leesburg, VA)
