West Central Trojans (Hartford, SD) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Madison Bulldogs (Madison, SD), 8-2 in a league challenge.

The Trojans now own a 9-0 record. They take the field next when they host Sioux Falls Christian for a challenge on Friday, May 12.

With the loss, Madison falls to 8-3 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Colman-Egan (Colman, SD) to battle the C-E Hawks in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 9. The C-E Hawks enter the challenge with a record of 2-5. Colman-Egan lost 15-3 in their recent league challenge against Castlewood (Castlewood, SD)
