Maine Central Institute Huskies (Pittsfield, ME) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Waterville Panthers (Waterville, ME), 19-9 in a non-league challenge.

The Huskies now sport a 3-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to St. Dominic for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 10. Maine Central Institute will face a Saints squad coming off a 18-8 non-league win over Traip (Kittery, ME). The Saints record now stands at 4-3.

With the loss, Waterville falls to 0-8 on the campaign. The Panthers host Belfast (Belfast, ME) to face the Lions in a Class B North challenge on Wednesday, May 10. The Lions enter the challenge with a record of 4-4. Belfast lost 4-2 in their recent league challenge against Lawrence (Fairfield, ME)
