Maple Grove Crimson (Maple Grove, MN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Mankato East Cougars (Mankato, MN), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Crimson now own a 5-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Robbinsdale Armstrong for a Northwest Suburban challenge on Tuesday, May 9.

With the loss, Mankato East falls to 10-2 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Albert Lea (Albert Lea, MN) to battle the Tigers in a Big 9 challenge on Tuesday, May 9. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 3-2.
