The crowd at Monday's league match between the New Milford Green Wave (New Milford, CT) and the visiting Pomperaug Panthers (Southbury, CT), saw New Milford's softball squad nip Pomperaug by a count of 9-3.

The Green Wave now sport a 13-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Newtown for a Southwest - Colonial match on Wednesday, May 10. New Milford will face a Nighthawks squad coming off a 6-1 non-league win over Notre Dame Catholic (Fairfield, CT). The Nighthawks record now stands at 15-0.

With the loss, Pomperaug falls to 10-5 on the campaign. The Panthers host Masuk (Monroe, CT) to face the Panthers in a non-league match on Wednesday, May 10. The Panthers enter the match with a record of 15-1. Masuk won 19-0 in their recent non-league match against Weston (Weston, CT)
