In Monday's non-league contest, the Normal University Pioneers (Normal, IL) softball team the visiting Prairie Central Hawks (Fairbury, IL), by a margin of 4-1.
With the triumph, Normal University moves its record to 23-6 on the year. The Pioneers travel to MacArthur (Decatur, IL) to play the Generals in a Central State Eight contest on Tuesday, May 9.
