In Wednesday's non-league game, the host Sterling Golden Warriors baseball team scored a tight 6-5 victory over the Fulton Steamers.
The Golden Warriors (11-14) will now prepare for their game against Dunlap (Dunlap, IL). The Eagles go into the non-league game with a 21-5 record. In their last game, Dunlap tipped Morton (Morton, IL), 2-0, in a league game.
The Steamers (12-12) will now prepare for their game against Forreston (Forreston, IL). The Cardinals go into the non-league game with a 18-8 record.
