Woodland Beavers (Woodland, WA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Hockinson Hawks (Brush Prairie, WA), 28-27 in a non-league challenge.

The Beavers now own a 4-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Mark Morris for a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 9. Woodland will battle a Monarchs squad coming off a 12-0 non-league loss to Columbia River (Vancouver, WA). The Monarchs record now stands at 6-5.

With the loss, Hockinson falls to 1-9 on the campaign.
