In Wednesday's league test, the host Northmont Thunderbolts lacrosse squad scored a tight 19-16 victory over the Fairmont Firebirds.
The Thunderbolts now have a 7-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Archbishop Alter for a non-league test on Thursday, May 9. Northmont will face a Knights squad coming off a 10-4 non-league win over Archbishop McNicholas (Cincinnati, OH). The Knights record now stands at 10-4.
In their next game, the Firebirds face the Edgewood Cougars (Trenton, OH) in a non-league test, on Thursday, May 9. Fairmont will attempt to move on its 0-13 season record. The Cougars come into the test with a 12-5 record after their 10-9 league win over Wilmington (Wilmington, OH).
